the hair poll results
06.29.01 - 6:23 pm

The results are in!

We here at The Insomniacs Digest would like to personally thank all of the loyal readers who participated in our first online poll. Your sincere interest in our Editors hairdo lead to an astounding turnout of nearly seventeen people!

And now on to the numbers...

Eleven percent of adults between the ages of 4 and 84 believe that a messy Indi-style haircut was in order, while equal numbers believed that a simple color change would breath new life into a fading facade.

Twenty-three percent of our viewing audience believed that a mod-style mop-toppish James Spader look was ideal, while one person sent their opinion direct to our publishing office via e-mail.

Zero percent of The Insomniacs Digest readers are intrigued by the short and butch look popularized by the homo-erotic mens fashion catalog, International Male. A similar poll found that zero percent of the poll participants possessed a sarcastic sense of humor when choosing a strangers hairstyle.

And now the moment weve all been waiting for, the envelope please...

With forty-seven percent of the total vote of seventeen people (thats 8 votes for you mathmagicians), the "short, hacked-up and messy" hairstyle is pronounced victorious.

When contacted for comment, the "short, hacked-up and messy" hairstyle said "Ive been enjoying great popularity in the pubic regions for quite some time now, but I must say that its good to be back on top."

Fingers and scissors have nearly completed all the changes necessary to bring the haircut into compliance with the wishes of the public. Some speculate that the recent cuts might prove to be too short and drastic, but others urge patience.

Will this hair grow into an acceptable mess, or shall it remain defiant and mediocre as it has in the past?

Perhaps only time can be the judge.
